Good to Go Tech Solutions started out as a father/son idea back in 2008. But it really started back in the mid 90’s when I worked at my father’s public accounting firm, Robert V. Klems Jr, CPA in Fullerton. He and my mother had always been responsible for making sure all of the old DOS based 386/486 computers were running and maintained.
The Windows operating system was fairly new to small businesses, and my parents saw that I had an interest in fixing and maintaining computers. From there I bought a few books about Windows operating systems and networking, and soon ran all new CAT5 cables to replace the older COAX token-ring network, setting up Networking printing, a Central File Server to replace hundreds of floppy disks, and introducing an email system (Microsoft Mail/Exchange) to replace their use of the carbon copy writing pads.
So instead of working long hours in accounting, I soon started working long hours troubleshooting and fixing computer problems for my fathers firm, as well as some of his clients as a hobby while I was going to school. I completed school with a degree in Business Management, but always focused on technology and how companies used technology to be more successful.
Fast forward to 2008, and my father helped me incorporate Good to Go Tech Solutions helping other small businesses in Orange County with their technology challenges.
Today, we continue to thrive as a small business focusing on other small businesses in helping them keep up with advances in technology, security, wireless, and more.
